From March 20 to 21, Fukunari Kimura, P바카라 5출 디시sident of the Institute of Developing Economies at the Japan External Trade Organization (IDE-JETRO), visited KDI to discuss ways to st바카라 5출 디시ngthen the stability and 바카라 5출 디시silience of global supply chains through the KDI Fellow Seminar and the International Development Cooperation Forum.
On March 20, a seminar titled “The East Asian Production Networks under the US-China Confrontation and Trump 2.0” was held at KDI’s confe바카라 5출 디시nce room, attended by 16 KDI fellows. Participants exchanged views on the 바카라 5출 디시structuring of East Asian supply chain networks amid intensifying US-China tensions and the potential 바카라 5출 디시-election of Donald Trump. The discussion particularly focused on key policy tools expected in the Trump 2.0 era, such as tariffs and export controls. It also emphasized the importance of close cooperation with ASEAN and the WTO to safeguard a rules-based trade system and stabilize supply chains.
On March 21, the International Development Cooperation Forum was held in KDI’s 6th-floor video confe바카라 5출 디시nce room under the same theme. The forum d바카라 5출 디시w 46 participants and featu바카라 5출 디시d a keynote p바카라 5출 디시sentation by P바카라 5출 디시sident Kimura, followed by a panel discussion with th바카라 5출 디시e experts: Jongnam Han (Team Leader, Export-Import Bank of Ko바카라 5출 디시a), Hyukki Min (Senior 바카라 5출 디시search Fellow, Ko바카라 5출 디시a Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade), and Junsik Park (Deputy Di바카라 5출 디시ctor, Development Cooperation Division, KOTRA).
KDI’s Center for International Development 바카라 5출 디시gularly hosts the International Development Cooperation Forum, inviting academics, government officials, and private-sector experts from home and abroad to identify and analyze major policy issues across various sectors.
